Looking for lift on race day & returning same day, split fuel (would be cheaper for me to fly with bike and rent a car in Galway than drive Starlet down  :D).

I'm heading down Sunday morning and brining Adam with me. To be honest the course looks pretty dull and tame. Boooooo
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Best of luck tomorrow to everyone racing.
In the area for the weekend on my 'other' bike, today was not a wash like the east so hopefully course will still be quick.

Great road trip, racing and stunning venue. Considering all the rain that's fallen 98% rideable. 40% singletrack.  I would think quiet a tame course compared to Djouce but that changes when racing flatout.  MTB finally got a Zoncolan, a true Jim Haide specialist climb that just kidded really hard: a wet kinda sandy fire road, just hugged the tire with too much TLC.

I wasn't gridded and pushed hard at the start, good 2 laps but dropped places on third and happy with fourth: finished empty.  Thanks to Adam for doing bottles.

Great performances from Adam 1st, Paul 4th, Jim 8th who was entangled by a crash just after the start.

Bike wash and shower after race  8)

Post race meal in supermacs with Strawberry milkshake  :).

Long day and would return for another.

That was a loooooong day. Think I got in the door at 8pm after leaving the house at 7.30am. Was a tough one too mainly because of the sandy draggy hell on earth climb in the middle. Was defo one for the roadies I reckon. The poor trail centre looked worse for wear after a few laps too as the hardcore was very dense and very loose. I got a good start but dropped a little on the climb and got passed. Fought back to get into second again but mis-counted my laps and ended up going full tilt to catch a guy on lap 3 thinking it was lap 4. BRAINFART! Had nothing left in lap 4 and got passed again on the climb. Had a couple of spills too but reasonably happy with 4th on a course that wouldn't be one that suited me.

Adam stormed U14 again to take the win by a country mile
Jim fought back really hard as Dave said after that pile-up. Savage riding
Think Mick took a wee bit of a spill but finished, not sure of position though

I'm just glad thats over and the points are on the board. Roll on G-Ride
How much wood would a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
