Would love to do this race but it clashes with W200.looks like the killarney boys put a lot of work into the new course. It would be well worth the spin down. I drove down on the sun morning last year and back that evening . Was tired but it was worth it.
Good luck to anyone who goes down!!!

Best of luck lads.....seems only 4 signed up from the club and only 70 for the event.... Fairly poor attendance.
I guess its a combination of clashing with the Wicklow 200 and the distance.

You lads going down should make sure you car pool

Max from Epic was down there today and this is what he says about the course
"Well the Killarney NPS track is riding great, everyone that did well in Lady Dixon should fly on this one, fast with no long climbs but with lots of greasy or loose stuff to catch you out. This is the one for your hardtail, and don't forget a nice nobbly tire on the front!"

Went up for the weekend and stayed in Killarney, Lovely area and the weather was great.

The course was good, lot of work put in to it so fair play to the Killarney Cycling Club. They really made the most of the flat area they used. Flat, fast a few slippy patches and wet roots to keep you on the ball and some really nice/unique drops. It was sprint sprint sprint from the off which didnt suit me but enjoyed it though.

Glenn was flying of course and took 2nd place well done Glenn  8). Aidan had a good race too but was suffering from a crash he was in a while ago.

The commute was grand 2.5 to 3hrs motorway most of the journey. Pity there was a small turnout for the club but we made up for it with our podium ;)

Hardest race this year. The heat and the sheer pace from the off.
As greg said, fair play to the lads for making a fairly flat race so good.
The short sharp climbs made hard due to the recent rain. By the third lap they were getting harder
I started off well from the front row and held on to the fast lads for grass section and into the forest section.
I had a very lonely 2nd and third lap. I blew up with a 100 yards to go and let fergus McCann beet me to the line. All in all a great race and I really enjoyed it.
Well done to Glen on another fine 2nd place.
If you want it, I can get it...!!

Great day yesterday lads, fair play to Killarney CC they did a great job on the course and made great use of the space available to them. An extremely fast paced course from the start and the obstacles and jumps  built into the course would very easily catch you out. The climbs were short but tough as the ground was damp and it was hard to get traction at times. All in it was a great day and well organised. Fair play to Duffer an Greg too. Although Duffer shouted some amount of obsenities at me when I was shouting encouragement at him for the sprint finish  :).. apology accepted tho Aidan. ;D  :D . Well worth the trip down tho!....... oh, and thanks to all the lads in Killarney who gave me a hand pushing the van in and out of the parking field when I got stuck ::) ;D.
