« on: February 07, 2012, 09:58:17 AM »
Well IMBRCers!

Are you guys ready for the first Blitz in Ballinastoe. One lap for baggy shorts, two for super pro. Great prizes and the usual craic! We have a cracking prize for Super Pro to suit you guys, €500 for 1st, €250 for 2nd, €150 for 3rd. We had the best prizes of any race last year, we gave away nearly €3500 worth of gear. And this year is going to be even better!

We're putting in a big effort for the Youth categories as well, its free to enter for U8 - Junior. Junior doing one full lap by the way!

Well  that was hardship! Crossing the start/finish line on lap one was great until I realised I had to do it all again  :-\ Managed to loose quite a few places soon after and just about got my sorry ass over the finish line. The loop was in great shape fast as ever and some noticeable improvements on some sections. Great results for Sean (1st Juniors) and Laco (3rd Banger shorts)  :P Good turnout from the club especially from our young lads, I think we had someone in all cats bar under 8's. Anto had an absolute stormer in U16 (2nd place) along with John in his first race, Ryan and Adam in U12 did very well too I think Ryan got 4th and Adam (racing with a cold mind you) came in just behind him, and young David in U10 came first with about five minutes to spare, Savage.
Great support from all the members who came to watch and to help out, it makes all the difference.

I'll keep an eye out for official results and post them up here.

Yeah well done to everyone who raced.  I only saw the senior race Sean was flying as was Craig. It looks like IMBRC are going to haul in some serious amount of medals this season.  I better get my act together I had to have an emergency can of coke and a mars bar on the way home:-(  Fairplay to Paul and Colm too for braving the cold to marshal.

I think that was nearly an IMBRC event under our Alias (biking.ie)  :D Not only me and colm there, all the Griffin family plus Dave and someone we thought how to mountain bike Niall Davis  :)

Great event to kick off the season, fast flowly course and no shlomp in sight..!! Big turnout from the club in all cats and some great results from the young lads upwards..!! Another Medal for David...!! Leo will have to make him an a new trophy cabinate..!! Brilliant results for the Slade Savages Anto & Sean...! And what about our fastest foreigner Laco..!! First time on the Podium.. dobre prepe?ený..!!  :)

Craig had a good run in the Pro race (12th i think) along with Jim, Steve, Corney and BigJack...

Club performance of the day has to be between Laco and Sean...!! I Sean edges it as he destroyed the opposition to take his first win..!  8)
