Enduro / Gravity enduro rnd 3 reports
« on: June 18, 2013, 12:26:50 AM »
Gravity enduro ticknock went well for me apart from stage 4 had a crash broke rear brake lever chain came off and had to run after my bike lost 20 secs or so and might of got 3rd if not for that. Stage 1 went well little spill in the lower section but found that most did on an off camber root. Stage two was a clean run got all the lines and stage three really started moving. Four probably pushed to hard and when I crashed was sure I'd ruined the day. I fecking nailed the metro cause of four but was slow getting the 29er through the tight spot on romper. Was delighted with 4th seen as I thought I was slow in a few sections on the day.Got to have a snack with the blue army before doing stage5. Invasion of midgits if you stopped for too long so kept her lit all day.great day and IMBReC where out in big numbers except for Paul who's missing all the craic!!!

Good luck tomorrow in the enduro like a blue army at sign on.stay left and low on the top trail half way down  watch out for roots a the bottom of 1. There's a few snakey lines on two up top go over the grass bank to the right near top stay right at the split and left at the next split flat out through the rest of two!3 tecky at the top watch out for roots up top. down the middle after fire road stay left near the end along rocks let her hang over all the drops down three from there. Top of 4 is straight forward till ya hit the muc at the bottom good luck there!! Ride high on the bottom section above the stones. Stage five there's a couple of corners to cut on the metro watch the roots when you get into bottom section right gear for up down bits 29ers like a forty foot on the twisty bit then the drop and rock gardens to finish:) should be fun keep your eyes open for sneaky fast smooth lines. GO IMBReC

The more poaching the better I'd say! Makes for cheap racing and fancy bikes something every rider wants. I look at it as imbrc producing good riders that others want to learn from:) better not handicap me to much Tommorow I'm still s**te at xc racing except for the downhilly bits I like them;) oh yes Paul when's the next track building day and where's jump going on the track  :P

Rnd 2 went good for me got 23rd overall and 5th in cat30/34 stage 1 didn't like me clocking in and lost a few seconds with Niall Davis giving me the punch don't swipe talk:) went over the bars just after the slomp on top of two. stage three went smoothish stage 4  I turned right half way down wasn't marked great and a rider held me up through the forest chain came off twice but put it back on while riding stage five was brilliant at the top I left a two minute gap and caught two riders that I had to pass on the grass down the fastest section.very hard to get 5 flawless stages test of man and machine:) More good news came my way today I'm riding with Team Giant Dublin so ill be looking to pick up some of antos xc skills:) BIG thanks to Richie Byrne and the main man himself Paul Barry two toppers of the mtb world that always point you in the right direction even if they look at you a bit funny.ill have to cut the jerseys in half and get me Ma to throw a stitch on them.
Thanks again for all the support "GO IMBRC and Team Giant Dublin"
