Enduro / EWS Enduro World Series tweedlove
« on: February 17, 2014, 08:36:06 PM »
The entry for the enduro World Series that is on in tweedlove later this year with two categories e1/e2 is open feb 19th at 5pm. I'm entering the e2 cat to have some serious enduro fun without the pressure of timed transistions in the E1 cat. The trails there are supposed to be top class and it's so close to home anyone that likes enduro would be mad to miss it and hey then you can always say you competed in a world event :) it's expected to sell out in minutes so if your going get the bank card topped up and be ready to enter at 5pm this Wednesday entry is £65 sterling I think there's 600 places.

Well done lads pity about them rules after racing hard all season missing the final means you don't count :(
On the up side I'm getting a bit better back is still very stiff shoulder will be better in 5 /6 weeks. Not doing djoust means I don't move up to the pros where I'd be near the bottom of the field racing young lads ill be racing in the 35/39 cat and was in the top 5 looking at the times there. Looking forward to next year and being the young lad in the ould boys club braced up with bungies and duct tape:) see yiz next week for the enduro final in slade

Enduro / Gravity enduro final djouce
« on: August 20, 2013, 11:27:15 PM »
The final round lads.Im not that well up on djouce forest so ill be hitting the trails hard up there over the coming weeks.its full of roots and seems to be steeper than most places with plenty of off camber sliperyness.A top ten result should secure a third overall in my cat very please with that in my first enduro year:) points must be scored to count overall in this event so ill do my best to keep it between the trees!!The slade enduro leauge should have us all ahead of the rest as regards timing and also the excellent competion and rivalry that's going on of a Tuesday great to see its full and everyone coming in a bit quicker this week.look forward to seeing some good results coming in from the club see yiz down there for lots of slidery snakey practice ;)

Whoo hoooo my first Mtb trophy 3rd in a time of 22.05 national champs as well that result almost secures a 3rd overall for the series I couldn't be happier:).a top ten in joust will seal the deal.my first year doing enduros I would have been happy with top tens!! I'm moving up to 35 /39 next year. Would have just squeezed 4th in that class where friend of the club ian coates took 2nd and team mate Damian mulcrone took 1st by 1 second over Coates on his "girlfriends" bike.
Lots of respectable times put in by imbrc lads and all home safe.Thought jimmy would win out right he has a Wicklow accent after living there last month haha.macker didn't make this one he will be back for joust :)
Club enduro tomorrow ill be up early for track set up.might get up this eve for some preping:)

Went touring again today and found all five stages this is going to be the fastest enduro yet your right jimmy lsd or express way has two stages on it the first half before the bomb hole is a section so is the second half after the bomb hole. The first half starts way up top over the fire road hill and links into the long boardwalk trail it comes to the fire road then left and right all new which leads to the fire road where LSD starts go left at the big bomb hole into another new steep section and then finish I'd say. The log jump stage is another out the top right of the forest finishes in the car park. There marking it on Thursday Niall said today.another stage start is up near the log jump stage and the end of this one has drops and jumps check my strava for today all is covered as far as I could make out.im going up Wednesday and Thursday for practice I've only started to go off the coilte trails in the last week and there's lots of cool stuff up there.Rember lads get off the brakes put pressure on the outside pedal when turning and practice makes perfect!!!

Well guys and gal "orla".lots of snakey balinastoe gravity practice going on today found some trails that have been freshly worked on as the week passes it will become more obvious.there all new to me but some of you will have ridden them before. I did the epic blast trail twice this is over to the top right of the forest and pretty much goes all the way to the car park there's three log jumps freshly built on the top of it.jimmy and Scott seemed to find a trail with work done out the back left of the trail centre going looking for that tommorow:) there's a new section cut after the long board walk trail that cuts into next trail before the big bomb hole stage two possibly.the twisty bits on the run to the car park has a section of grass cut 100 meters before the end. Good luck finding the trails lads I'm heading there again tommorow for about ten

Hey guys just noticed gravity enduro post on face book stage 3 and five finishing in the race village so there should be a bit of practice done on trails leading in!! Practice makes for fast times;) any other ideas as to where the other stages will be would be cool and we should do a club spin a couple of weeks before the event looking forward to the club enduro and an evening or two trail building :( :P
