Our Cyclo-cross (CX) season kicks off every autumn, as we take to parkland and gravel roads. With races most weekends in Dublin, Wicklow & Meath, the lead up to Christmas can often be the busiest park of the race season.
For anyone new to Cyclo-cross, the training and racing takes place on grass, sand, mud and gravel, with no rocks on the course. This allows you to ride CX bikes, which look very simialr to road bikes.
A unique feature of CX is that it draws people from both road and mountain bike racing. Plus the short 50-60 minutes races on 6-10 minute laps make this both intense and great for spectators.
