Pete lost his chip somewhere along the course. I think he is still down there looking for it

To make matters worse if you look at his Strava and Greg Callaghans he was faster than him in some places such as the Expressway. He was definitely heading for a podium if not top step
Alas though we will never know how fast Pete actually was.
Just good thing he is not the type to have a chip on his shoulder
