Thanks guys..just getting ready for last stage into lake garda....ya Joe small detail of the 15k climb which is the steepest in the race. Fantastic race to date with our results and team work improving virtually day on day ! Plenty stories to tell including getting to ride (Max's) one of pros ulta light 29er on Thursday after moto incident...more on that ltr ! Time and place on that stage to be corrected  ! Well done all in nationals last week ..I logged on to check last week....some fantastic results !

Thanks all for the good luck messages...when u have to go to the well again and again it makes it somewhat easier with all that support behind you ! Yesterdays final stage was a cracker..I did my usual quick start only to feel the legs quite heavy but continued to meander through the racers as we left town just my staying on side of the group and being a bit cute....some of germans expect you to stay in line..hilarious ! ! Rode the first climb just under threshold knowing what was coming...caught a fast moving train  on the flat section to base of steepest climb of the week  and then it all blew up  ..straight into about 15- 20 % and increazing and decreasing  after that....it was relentless ! The sweat was pouring down my arm a d off my elbows such was the incline ! .Amazingly I came to life on the  climb but I do like to climb and musle tiredness did not seem in climbing zone ....its was v warm and I was glad I had taken 2 prolonged cold showers in the morn to keep core temp down. Avg speed was under 15 k for 1st 2 hrs due to climb..eventually some downhill single track and an enduro section...positioned late enough in d day that I could let loose and have a good blast at it ! Sweet ! After final decent eased off the gas and hooked up with Seb 2km from Riva ...we rode in together in a group where eveyone was jostling for position then crossed line together for 29 overall from 130 in masters cat. Very happy with that and with how we raced as a team once we got going ! The race set up which is a massive improvement on when I
took part with "the Bull" mc Cabe in 07. I will do a full write up in the next week or so including the collision with motorbike on stage 5 which trashed my wheel and damaged frame and interview with TAlp on the beach !lafter stage 4 !
