Yeah that was good craic yesterday.

I thought the course was good. I had to cycle to work this morning cause of the car and the legs were completely dead.

I reckon Corney would of had me there had it not been for his mechanical.
Great to have proper sports results.

Think I'll do the next round castlewellan. For people who haven't ridden there, its a really good course.

Well done.

Yeah I really enjoyed that yesterday,

Great craic, that's what the sports race is all about. I don't think I would have caught you Gar. Hope to see everyone up in Castlewellan in 2 weeks.

What are people doing for accommodation, BB, hotel or Camping. Let me know your recommendations please, if anyone was there last year.

Corney

Ah you were just hustling us all week Gar, with all your excuses  ;D

You brought that bottle of champers for yourself  ;)

Yea, great to see proper results and times for sports for a change.

Yea it was a good course, great to have no mucky climbs on single track but maybe the fire roads were a bit long.... And i was bricking it everytime i went accross the GC bit..!!

The campsite is very nice....generally its not free but i never paid the time i stayed(Couldn't find anyone to give money to).

We stayed in Hillyard house last year:
http://www.hillyardhouse.com/

Its pretty good and we could store the bike inside. Its right at the park entrance so close to the town and the race course.

"The bistro" is pretty good for food and reasonable enough

The camping thing is not really flying with her indoors. Might be a B&b for me.

Well i was hardly going to give it away  ;D

Yeah GC is a bit tricky... You could really get stuck there with so many people falling. Cleaning that stuff though will bring you on alot - get you out of the comfort zone.

Hillyard house booked out from 3years ago. Bloody rowers.
You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair.

Great course, nice fireroad climbs but I had no legs... Well done Gar, some ride on a single speed, that Cava was well deserved!  Might have to make this a regular thing at every race, bodes well for the club champs too.  GC was pretty mad, saw some crazy crashes.

Roll on Castlewellan!!!
