General Discussion / Re: Good all round tyres

Hey John, I've been using The new type conti mud king tyres on both bikes since october last year
An find them a great all round tyre, maybe a bit giddy on loose gravel but apart from that they're ok for me.
Maxxis ignitors are supposed to be the business too, worth a look. ;)

Yeah, got to agree lads, route marking was a bit poor in places, I took a wrong turn an had to backtrack a couple of km to get back on route too. Thought they should've had marshals around the route checking numbers and recording times to ensure places we're recorded correctly. An that second feed station was like an oasis in the desert, by the time I got there I was totally dehydrated, seen people drinking outta streams on the mountain coz they were that thirsty. All in though it was a great event and the chuchulainn lads did a good job, savage amount of organisation needed for an event like that. Unbelievable amount of climbing and seen some amount of people snotting themselves on those mucky single track sections, myself included ;D. Will defo give it a go again next year....once the weathers a bit drier beforehand though.

Hey, lookin' for a few cheap or free bits for a bike I'm building back up .                                                        1. Low riser handlebar.
2. Half decent rear dérailleur
3. Short 60mm stem
4. Chain.

Post or pm if you have any of the above that might suit.
Cheers

 ;)

Great racing yesterday from everyone, the mud an water only adding to what was already a tough course. Fair play to Carn Wheelers who ran a great event and even had tea an cake after. Great course, really enjoyed it, just went flat out from the start an tried to keep the pace as high as I could throughout the race and it seemed to work anyway. Thanks to everyone for all the support an help throughout the year at all the races. An fair play to Jim, Joe, Craig,Dave an Laco on their races yesterday.Great turnout from Imbrc. Catch up with yaz at the club league on Tuesday,Cheers ;D
