Buy & Sell / Giant Anthem Advanced X29 Framest
« on: October 17, 2016, 08:44:33 AM »
Size Medium. Only a couple of months old. Bought specifically for one race and now is surplus to requirements. Comes with fox float factory DPS shock. Frame protection applied and also come pre routed for dropper post. Can ship. These bikes are not available in Ireland or the UK. Unbelievable XC/Trail bike. Warranty still applies also. Comes with headset and GXP BB. This frame is absolutely immaculate! Have other spares there also that I may throw in with the sale.

€1300 ono which will include spares

Yeah Jimmy. Although it's rather uncomfortable just to get around.

Only down the road. I'm there. Be warned though the course is rough as a bears hole!

I met the man briefly and seemed like a lovely guy. Thoughts are with his family and friends and it really puts it all in perspective. RIP

Also I wasn't the only one to podium. I'm pretty sure Rose did too in the Ladies Cat.

Well done everyone who raced and big shout out to our very own Ginger ninja Paul C getting 2ND place.
National champ next year Paul!
Brilliant stuff

I sure hope so Davey! Thanks a million, I'm absolutely delighted. The rest of the lads didn't have a good run of luck though suffering from punctures. She was a leg burner. Well done to my protege Adam on his 7th in Juniors in his first ever Gravity Race. Little animal and I'll defiantly encourage him to do more of them!

You should be doing it
No I shouldn't. I should be saving my legs for the enduro champs weekend which is what I will be doing it. There'll be plenty more hardship to partake in during the winter

Enduro / Re: Djouce ENDURO.... Now lets get to it...

Right lads/lassies Djouce follow up --- This is really a big thank you to all of IMBRC!

The good news is that I will make a full recovery i.e. no permanent issues. They discharged me yesterday because they were so happy with my progress from op on Wednesday. Neck brace for 6-8 weeks and no impact sports/activities for 6-8 months.

I've had a pretty rough and very scary week. Not just for me, but for family and friends too. I don't want to dwell on it too much but I am lucky that I didn't end up with a more permanent serious outcome. At the moment I have mixed emotions about mountain biking but I think given time I will probably end up on a bike again. However I'm sure it will be quite different if and when I do.

A big part of what is already luring me back and something I would miss (which I under appreciated somewhat until now) is the IMBRC group of people. You are all a fantastic bunch. From Pawels very generous offer of the bike while he was away on holidays (I honestly tried my best not to break it!) To Gary for stopping to give me help on the day, and from what I hear carrying the bulk of the stretcher weight to the ambulance! Thanks Scott for sorting the rim and wheel out for Pawels bike and also going to the hospital with Aideen, she really appreciated it. Thanks for all the messages and well wishers (I got so many) it sounds cliched but they do make a difference and help to keep you positive at a time when its easy to get low. The messages certainly kept me occupied with a constant stream.

So thank you all for your support and help when needed! I'm proud to be part of a club with such decent people!!!

I said it before and will say it again! IMBRC, a great bunch of lads!

OKay there is much of a muchness between the two but my originals were 700 so ill stick with that.

Bike discount seems to have good value on a set of CONTINENTAL CycloX-King 35-622 wired so think ill go with them.

Back end of B races here i come   :)

they are all 700c. The other no. relates to the profile. They are all pretty much the same to be honest. Just make sure the knobs are pretty decent and your laughing

Yeah I do like a good hijack ;)

Anyway will go for the Rocket Ron then but what size should I get ? 30c 38C 40c ? Is that width of them is it ?

There is no way I am buying a cross bike. I got this cheap and will only be partaking and using this as training for XC next year.

It weighs a ton but twill be grand in the B races. Ill drop it in and get it looked at after I pull it apart first right after a bottle of wine  :)

38c on my CX bike. Do the job just lovely
