Not sure about this

You are going to be limited in what you can do with a course if you are making a shorter lap and cutting out the good bits.

Also more chance of being lapped and not completing the full distance

Why are you cutting out the good bits!!!! The glass is always half empty with you Paul, lol
Cut out the bad bits!!! leave the good bits alone
But yeah I agree, and in bad weather the course will need to be bombproof if you average 200 riders per race  :-\
thats a lot of traffic over a course

Also more chance of being lapped and not completing the full distance
Just means more work for the fast lads

The XC club league course is now nearly the new NPS length....could make for quicker and easier race preparation for some clubs....
May also mean some smaller trail areas are now possible NPS venues?
It will shake things up a bit, for the better or worse will depend on how it is implemented...

I think its a good thing as will be making racing tighter >:(. I found myself alone a couple of times last season and I tend to start enjoying the scenery and slacking when that happens  :-*.  Hopefully it will make courses more technical and cut a lot of the fire road climbs. Change is good although I would worry about possibly less passing opportunities due to shorter course.

We really should be looking to hold a race of some sort for 2016, club champs course was the test ride for next year. Options for NPS probably aren't great in regard to the dates available, but there's plenty of other options.
