A bike !!!!! :P

nah 100mm travel hardtail will do! :)

what you realy need to get is:
- funky looking baggys (Garys AC/DC flames would be best, similar accepted)
- funky fox cap (for after ride buzzzz) 8)
- funky fox T-shirt (ditto)
- Oakleys shades (ditto)
- I love Enduro car sticker

yeah that would be you sorted!

Knee pads and goggles/good glasses some of the top sections can be wet and mud in the eyes on a tricky section ie 2D vision is best avoided.

Ask John Kelly, Scott and Ed for some advice there, no problem to them  ;)

Ahh the hardtail and Enduro... well firstly its not slow, but way way harder to stay 'on board' so if there is any full suss yoke grab it ... the more travel and the slacker generally the better (but be prepared to feel the pain on the pedally bits...).
Great choice of location to burst the bubble (far better than ticknock) if you dont have an Enduro machine..!

Race Report....... Best Craic Enduro of the year so far (its going to be hard to beat) Ballyhoura with its new tech trails (All of Stage 2) and nicely grafted into the end of stage 4 consisted of this burmy twisty (narrow) jumpy fast sections which really got the adrenaline up. Stage 1 was really all trail centre and everybody posted similar times as it was flat out and pedally. Stage 3 was the roughest and gnarlyest but very short just over 2 mins long and the seefin descent of stage 5 was class as always.
My rivals out rode me this weekend and pipped me by about 30 secs (but got a solid 9th place in 40-49) well done to all the club members who posted great times all day Pete (top 10, 35-39) was the fastest followed by Mark less than 1 sec (snatching 4th in the 40-49 class, Paul has to get a special mention as he blitzed every stage (except 4 where he punctured losing over 5mins) Pawel improved his placing by over (20-25?) places from Ticknock (he totally loved the trails). Hard luck to Chopper who's friend got a mechanical and they missed the cut off time for starting stage 5 (I never realized there was one..!) Great event helped by the weather put it in your diary for next year.
Talk Soon Scott  :D

well 30 places up 57th in 3rock - 27th ballyhoura, 3 places up from my PR in Ballinastoe. So got my o/a classification points, happy as f..as there is room for improvement.
Best enduro venue ever not only class sections but also class transitions, mix of fire roads and ballyhoura trails and many of them were descents, spooky woods, plank paths and all. whole race was 35K so....quite good for an enduro riding.
It is a long drive but defo worth doing and I'll be there next year!!!

Lads I forgot are newest club member  ;D Rory  ;D who was actually the fastest club member around Ballyhoura (Sorry Pete) he finished 11th in his very competitive category 30-34 (if it was my category he would have been 4th)
Well done 'no beard'....!
