Round 3 of the NPS is in Lady Dixon Pk, Belfast on 25th May and hosted by XMTB
One of the best self contained race venues out there. Word has it they are changing the course this year to make it more technical.

Raging I'm gonna miss this one. The points from my first round don't count so I'm out of any decent placing for the series. Always next year

Generally you can sign on the day but might cost you a fiver extra

I have not seen anything to say you cannot so will probably go up tomorrow.

Bit of a muck fest today, reminiscent of Cong last year. Zero grip in some of the mud slides, sorry corners and climbs :). No idea how anyone did and I think everyone was just happy to finish without any mechanicals. Had a very graceful dismount over the bars into a bank of nettles, legs are still tingling, would not recommend it :)

Well done folks..! Sounded like a very tough race. From looking at the results, seems like the club didnt fair too well up there apart from Dave Askin who had a great result in S2

Not when it's slimey though Paulie! As Ger said the weather played havoc with the course but it was the same for everyone. It's a public park similar to the phoenix park so I'd guess they are limited in what they can do with benchcutting and hardcore. Well done to xmtb for there effort and organisation. Kudos to Adam in 6th and also to Dave Askin - he was very strong finishing his last lap faster than the previous and just missing out on the spot.

How low can you go........ I could press my tyre against the rim with my thumb. About 10 Psi. Still no traction on climbs. Photos will be interesting. Just finished round 2 of bike cleaning session after pumping a full load of dirt worker water on bike straight after yesterday's duathalon. Unfortunate for xmtb, did what they could. Mother Nature had her say. First section through woods was 8) & 5 gravel paths were a welcome release to push a decent pace.
I hope someone got a photo of Ger's bike, rear shock was soon caked with muck it looked like a prototype motor over the finish line!

Only the top two gears were jumping a bit, the other 8 were running fine.
