Hi All,
I came across your site over the weekend and joined up today.
I was looking for a group of people that pretty much do exactly what you guys do - Head out on the weekends etc to forests and have a bit of fun... on bikes ::) ).
Anyway, I used to race MX a number of years ago and have always been interested in the MTB Downhill/CX etc. Basically 2 wheels and a bit of muck and im happy. I recently
picked up a Boardman (Team model) bike with the view of getting out to a few trails. Id love to jump in on a meet up some time if that's OK.
Im based in the Drogheda area but can throw the bike onto the car rack and meet up wherever.
Nice to "meet" you all.

Welcome to the club Stephen. Post your number and we'll give you a shout when we are heading out. Usually go for night spins on Tuesday and Thursday nights and longer spins early Sat/Sunday mornings.

Welcome aboard Stephen. There is the little matter of the newbie race. It's a 50k race over through the Wicklow and Dublin mountains against our best rider. Lots of climbing involved. So when ever you are available we will get Paul Barry to race you. That ok with you?
I'm sure your available whenever suits Stephen Paul!! 8)

Only the Dublin and Wicklow mountains??

We used to do it coast to coast but since the previous new member is still missing around the Midlands we thought it best to keep it to a reasonable distance. Paul Barry just keeps on going. Some say he has glutes made of titanium, I'm sure it will not be a problem for you though he is getting old and is in semi retirement

We can make the distance as far as u like, our man Paul can go and go and go,it's said he's half goat half huskey.no end to his stamina. Don't let the retirement thing fool u,he's always up for it.
