And paying over the odds for a race :-) 80 euro is a bit steep in my opinion

Six stages and up lifts not bad value (not great either) but it really appeals to me...

It's a bit of a funny event. It's billed as an international event but with limited numbers I doubt many (if any) international riders got places

Well it is part of an international series to be fair

The numbers are due to the logistics.  With two bused transitions they can only cater for 50 bikes on the trailers in order to make it around the 4 venues.  It's a tour de force of North East Wicklow with Killruddery, Kindlestown, Ballinastoe and Djouce.  Niall always puts on a good show, this is easily worth the money.  If he really wanted to cash in he'd run a normal Gravity Enduro type event in the Dublin/Wicklow area and get 350 riders.  This is about doing something a little different and boutique.

You want to talk about a race organiser ripping people off have a look at the UK round of the EWS.  600 riders on course per day!  Insanity.

My idea of an international series would be something like a world cup where the same riders travel to all events.... I these are more unique one off events in each country sponsored by bluegrass

Im sure it will be a great event. Im just saying that with the limited numbers it will most likely be all local riders who got the spots

It was first come first served and there was plenty of spots available on Saturday when I checked it,  which was a while after opening for entries. I did consider it but just thought my money could be spent better elsewhere

The women only event might do alot for promoting the sport with the fairer sex. Its will prob run at a loss but could have long term effects.

We have never had the numbers racing here to justify the cost of a seperate event but it would be nice to see that change
