I wonder how well various rear mechs (Non XX1, XXO) would work with 42t? Chain might need a few more links too which means it might get sloppy in the higher gears (smaller sprokets).

Good option though for those worried about ditching front mech/granny ring, and for heavier enduro bikes on single rings.

Ya I dont think this is the one but innovation is coming through more and more ever since the clutch mech and xx1. Next year I think we should see some new developments. Ive been 1x10 for a while on Enduro bike and never looked back so am looking to convert the hard tail now also once I have the money
