Hey folks,
Anyone going to this?
I'm going to keep an eye on the forecast and decide last minute. Sign-on closes on Thursday.

Same here, hope to do it but will leave it till the last minute before I decide, According to CI website you can sign on on the day €5 extra so I may not decide until Sunday morning :o
I'll pop an email to Niall to make sure CI details are correct.

Apparently the weather is to be good

I'm not sure yet - had planned it all summer but got a virus the week after Cooley and then went on hols with family so was off bike for 4 weeks. Back on it just over a week now and starting to feel a bit better but think this might be a week or 2 too soon.

I was on to Niall, Sign on is available on the day.
-
Signed up just need to sort bike out !

I'm on for this if I can grab a lift down off somebody?
I've not signed on coz I'm doing a canoe marathon race on saturday and was unsure if I'd be up for it but sure ya can't be not going to something like this.

How did race go today lads ? Any reports.

I'm only home now. A great day out..... a load of imbrc'ers down there including Paulie doing time keeping! Gareth and Smithers got podiums so well done to them. It was a tough one at 4.17 for me. I can't wait to see the times as I feel I was up there (fingers crossed). Having said that, there were about 20 of the Epic crew in the race and I'd say 19 of them were ahead of me!

Well done today folks....good turn out in Masters and Vets.
Great results from gareth and smithers in the 35km support race coming in 2nd and 3rd.
I have sent the results to Niall, so im sure he'll post the official results when he gets a chance

That was by far the best course I've ever ridden, a proper tough course with a mixture of everything. think I finished at around 4.30, tried to keep it steady throughout but at 50-55k I felt done for until I realized I should just HTFU and get on with it ;D enjoyed it again after that. One thing that annoyed me tough, I've never ever had to stop during a race for a toilet break before but for some reason I had to stop 4 bleedin times and water the trees, very frustrating as each time I stopped I lost places. felt strong for the last 10 k and gave a good push to the finish, also took back a few positions :D.Anyway absolute fantastic course and a great day out.
Well done to Gareth and John on getting podiums, great stuff. Podiums in this and cross last week for both these lads! Brilliant stuff
And Ryan had a great race too, he jumped in at the deep end for this one but finished strong.

Well done to all who competed and finished, I couldn't get a pass and to be honest sort of happy I didn't.... ;)
-
If anyone didnt fancy the 75km course, the 35km was pretty good too.!! Similar to the Blitz course, so taking in all the good stuff.
The winner did it in 1h40 but the average was about 2 hours

Anyone seen any links to pics?....I crashed into the river and camera man was right there so interested to see that one....LOL. Deadly race....really enjoyed this and had similar battles with Dominic and Mark and a few others as in d the thriller ...great atmosphere...everyone from club gave it there all. Very surprised not to have a course profile beforehand but overall race org was good marking of course was top spot on.

Victor lucas was there taking snaps, but id say they might be for promo snaps for next years UCI race
Other than that, Max put some deadly shots on facebook.
