For those traveling down the race Senior 1/2/3 races is starting at the later time of 2pm. Daft idea something that a committee man like Paul would come up with and vote for!
-
Did anyone NOT like that course today...!! What a brilliant and enjoyable loop..!! :)
The lads have done wonders with that place over the last 2 years and that was the best condition yet.!!
The rain held off so it was bone dry and flowly once you got over climb at the start.
Personally i had a bad start again while trying to get up the front on the start line it closed in on me and i found myself nearer the back, and with 70 odd riders thats not the place to be..! Then got caught up in a bit of crash in the grass....so was a bit back in the single track with a line of riders in front and no where to pass....got them all by the end of the lap so had a clear track for the next too :)
Another great race from Glen in 5th, Greg, Davey, Laco and Micky C all in S3
Really enjoyed it, and the chicken curry at the end topped off a great day..! Well done to the lads Cuchulainn CC for another great event.
-
Yeah, echo that Paul, fair play to Chuculainn CC for putting on a great race today. Savage course, great racing and the rain held off, what more could you ask for. :)
-
Great days racing, they have a brilliant setup up there I was really impressed. Course wise, it was nice and fast not really technical bar 1 or 2 short sections. Overall it was a great day out and pleased with my result, where ever it was.
Who ever voted for that bloody 2 oclock start time should be made go to a youth race and then hang around all day for the senior race, God dam Dimwits... If it had of rained I think I would have headed home I was freezing by the time time i got on my bike.
life is too short to go through that again.
Anyway well done Chuculainn Brilliant day out.

not really technical bar 1 or 2 short sections
Dont know about that Davey....I think the fact we were going so fast it brought in the element of risk on some of the little tricky sections....i seen plenty of people have trouble with them and some on the deck...It you got it wrong, it would hurt at that speed and you'd loose several places :D
-
Great race today. Started near the back and pretty much stayed there for the full race
Struggled on laps 2 and 3. Loved the track. Roll on next year and I'll try a bit harder :)
Thanks lads for a really great day.
-
Cool course, I really liked all those ride-able but tricky bits. Cool drops, bearms and table-tops, you don't get those often in a race. After 2 yrs without a proper race I couldn't keep any sort of pace though, roll on the club league and NPS 3!
Great job by Cuchullainn, I didn't have any curry but curry at a race is impressive and the best/biggest road signage I've ever seen!
-
Well done to Cu chulainn CC Great days racing!!
The course was bone dry , realy fast .Great to see so many IMBRC riders.Bad luck Jim breaking a chain on 3rd lap and you were flying.bummer.
Think I finished top 15 happy with that.
-
I've been on to the lads, they should have the results shortly... The hold up is with the chip timing company.!

and Craig?
-
and Aidan ?
-
I finished ok. no 340 :'( not my best days racing.
-
Ah right, your name is down as DNF near the bottom.
-
Good placings there for James, Glenn, Anto and and a top 15 for Leo and Greg.
Bit of a shock that I'm off pace at 31st as I was aiming to nudge the top 20 near the Joe fella! It was a good course and venue so I've only myself to blame!

I think it was just such a fast course that it was hard to make up any time in the single track
-
Great course yesterday. Enjoyed the day despite mess up on start and then breaking chain on 3rd and dnf'ing. I have contacted the organiser to inform them of dnf cos in
results I'm listed 8th.
-
Woohoo 13th :-\
Well pleased with that.. best result ever. Must have been my new tyres ;D
-
Got some lap times now

Savage trails, not a puddle to be ridden through 8). When done to all. All we needed was temperatures in the early 20's to match dry trails.
Thought I was Steve Peat on tight right hander and over the bars I went, they twisted and I spent 2 minutes re-aligning :-[.
Still went like a donkey, hopefully club league will inject some needed speed.
Fair play to S3 riders catching S2:Davey and Greg, you can start with big Jim tomorrow :)

Thank You everybody for all the Great comments, Our Team worked hard to ensure a Cyclist focussed event in terms of the enjoyment of the race course and the food and shelter.
I apologise for the delay regarding the splits, as it is out of our control, however the timing company has sorted out all the individual queries that have been recieved todate before final publishing.
In the mean time, check out all the photos being loaded up, and relive the buzz.
