Title: IMBRC Beginner Spin Sat 21st jan

The first of this years beginner spins kicks off on sat 21st in Ticknock Woods (3 Rock) @10:30am

This is for both men and women beginner level riders from age 14 upwards. The pace will be handy but steady and the spin will last approx 2/2.5 hours depending on how everyone is doing. We may also split people into ability groups if needed.

If you are U18 you will have bring along a signed parental consent form (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4u3zy5CwLpXZDhhMThlMDgtNzQ1Yi00YmIyLWI3NDEtZjQ1Yzk5MmZiNzli) This is very important as we cant bring you on the spin without it.!

You will need the following:

    A helmet (No Helmet = No spin)
    A mountain bike in good working order and working brakes
    Appropriate cycling clothing for cold, wet weather, gloves (no jeans or track suits)
    Spare tube, basic tools (allen key set, tyre levers)
    Food (cereal bar, banana...etc)
    Water

Hi folks,

A great turn out today despite the cold wind. It might have been a beginner spin but riders had various levels of ability so we split up into more manageable groups.
My crew had Donal, Hillary, Brendan and Daniel. All four did very well and survived the day unscathed :)

......They said they are ready for more so I want to see them at the next spin in two weeks time!

Many thanks to the club members who helped out - there must have been about 15 of us!

Aye, great turnout today, similar to Colm, I had Mark, Rod, Paul, and Karl out on the trails before meeting up with James an Craigs group an tagging along with them. Good craic had by all ;D. Cheers, lads.
