WHAT A DAY. FIRST MISTAKE ; DONT RACE WHILE STILL DRUNK
THE FIRST LAP NEARLY KILLED ME. STARTED TO COME ON STRONG ON THE SECOND LAP. PAST KORNEY ON THE CLIMB UP TO THE TOP TRAIL
PAST SOME MORE LADS AND LADIES UNTIL I GOT LEG CRAMP. HAD TO STOP. LET THEM ALL PAST AGAIN.
THEN GOT GOING AGAIN AND HAD TO TRY DO IT ALL AGAIN. GAVE IT LOADS ON THE LOWER TRAIL UNTIL I CAME A CROPPER ON A FAST RIGHT HANDER
CRACKED THE HEAD HARD AND THE USUAL GRAVEL RASH. GLAD TO HAVE MADE IT HOME IN ONE PIECE
HELMET NEEDS REPLACING AND RIPPED ALL MY NEW GEAR. WHAT A DAY!
FEELING WELL BET UP TODAY

Another roadies wet dream, road all the way up, plenty of room for overtaking just a pity there had to be a downhill part :-[ was funny to see some surprised faces :-\ and the encouragement was fantastic thanks lads!!
Mr Pollock had a mechanical on the lower downhill section so thats how i passed him on the first lap but he stormed by me on the last lap just at the end of the last climb and left me for dead.
Went home yesterday satisfied that i gave it 110% with no obstructions, mechanicals or crashes, i couldnt have taken one second off my lap times. Pity not everyone was as lucky.
Thanks to Niall for organising such a milestone event and our lads for giving up their own time and race to make it the day that it was.

Eric is still grinning. Showed him the pictures earlier.
It's great to see the kids having fun.
Did you see him tour de France style over the finish line.
I think the new jersey worked a treat.
