Yeah agreed with ye all! Great course tough on the body, but real fun with a good mix of technical stuff.  Could get used to racing dusty trails.
Well done to Adam, Paul and Joanne, hope the heads ok Jimmy

General Discussion / Cycle For DSI
« on: May 11, 2015, 12:52:29 PM »
Hi All,

If anyone is looking for a good spin on the road next Saturday.  Check out below link.  It Starts & finishes in Blessington. It’s a good loop, for a good cause and only €20 for CI members. It would be great to see a few club jerseys support this event.

Well done all I had a wedding over the weekend so had to give it a miss. Sounded like a good tough course. Fair play to Adam and Paul.  Also too Jimmy seeing the light and Trev and Dave o Shea on return to xc racing after a couple of years. Would love to have been there. And will have another family wedding clashing with rd3 :'(

General Discussion / Re: Lost car key
« on: September 21, 2014, 10:00:30 PM »
Yeah I put up a couple turns out the key is kinda expensive to replace.
Got a call today from a local who walks there regularly and saw them. Told me two young lads on bikes (early teens) found the key last week and were asking everyone they could find looking for the owner. He suggested calling a few local Garda stations but none have them.
So who were the young lads?

What a day yesterday.
As Davy said it was a really tough race monster climbs and not much let up on descents.  Got a good start and kept it steady enough after that, had plenty of luck getting through the day with no incidents, the bike was running brilliantly.  Very happy

Great day out at da Cooley as always. Had a mixed day better time than last year but finished lower. Great company with Paul Caldwell for most of it, you were flying and unlucky to puncture on final descent. If you attempt to enter anything lower than s2 next yr you're getting a kick in the arse

Great weekend in Killarney, good course - didn't think it would suit me but went well for 2nd, Alfie was much stronger on the day.  Rob Tobin was flying in 3rd but punctured.
The weekend started well for the club with Paul getting 3rd in Experts.  Next up Luke Tobin got 2nd in under 8s, Adam McGarr on podium taking 4th, Johnnie Quinn also on podium and Gareth Hegarty took 4th in Juniors & Sean Feeney 3rd in espoirs.
XC not dead yet!

Well done Dave on looking after Colm, real pity, very unlucky I spent second half of race with Dave and Colm he was really strong and just dropped a few meters on last big climb was expecting to see him again and only heard a few minutes after finishing what happened!
Otherwise super event well done to Gareth and Micko
