Bike Lights for winter
« on: July 21, 2010, 12:44:58 PM »
Ok, i know its a bit early for lights....but just thought i'd post the link to where we got the cheepo lights for last winter as they can take 6 to 8 weeks to be delivered on the slow boat from china.

Helmet mount
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.29489

Bar mount
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25149

Great lights for the money....There is a slim chance you might get stung for customs tax
And paying the extra for the fast delivery didnt really knock much time off the shipping

They can also be found on ebay from various sellers.. If you search for "magicshine" you should find them.

You should prob be thinking of ordering around now as they can take about 5/6 weeks to arrive on the slow boat from China....

Just got mine last week, took under 3 weeks.

Was wondering if there should be battery mount for bike in packaging.  Big customs sticker across packaging on arrival.  Probably ran stacked it looking for rhino horn and lost it  >:(.

Looking forward to some nite spins once I get adaptor to charge it up.

There was no batt mount with mine Dave... i used to just cable tie it to the helmet.

If you get the extention lead you can put it in a backpack

i ordered two sets the other day and they have been shipped yesterday, they reckon 7 to 10 days or 3 to 4 days for ems postage. We shall see.
Hope i get lucky with customs too.

Paul, could you post the exact link for the right lights?

Not many evenings of sunshine left.
I have very little time to get to the gym, so I have to sculpt my guns at the office

You want the helmet mount version...lights are better off moving with your head.
You will prob get rid of the strap and cable tie the mount to your helmet...

And the extention lead is handy too, if you want to put the battery in your backpack.
