Duathlon Series – Formula 1 this Wednesday
« on: August 01, 2011, 09:28:59 AM »
I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from the Helfire series:-)  Is any one up for this, more cycling than the earlier races (more running too but we won’t mention that!)

I do gap jumps, Sam Hill does gap jumps, we have a lot in common!

That actually sounds easier than the hellfire races! At least the running is pretty flat! Think I might give it a shot! I can just imagine all the triathletes in there one piece suits zipping by me now.....nothing that an elbow and a stick in there spokes can't sort out though!! Just kiddin (kinda)!  :)

I’m all entered, into the lions den I go:-)

Don't mind the cycle, have you seen those triathletes run!  I think we should tie their laces together before the start of the race that will teach them :)

Yeah how hard was that, Myself, Rose and Big Jack made it from IMBRC

There was a real buzz around the park that night with people cycling, running , rollerblading and allsorts.  Who knew the northside could be so nice I suppose that’s why it’s got an even postcode!

The course was mostly flat so it looked fairly easy, but those cunning Triataltes just went faster removing all the easiness!   The first run was at a ridiculous pace.  I lost a bit more time switching shoes in each of the four transitions which didn’t help.   Rose was right, on my second cycle loop one of those skinsuited girls zipped by me!  I blame the Tri bars!

The last run was the toughest the cramps were setting in by then.  We all made it home quite repectively Excellent organisation again by the Belpark Tri Team, faultless:-)
