Well done, great achievement keeping the legs going for that long.
Puts the marathon races we have here in perspective.
So how many laps are you doing of the Da Cooley this Saturday :)

It was a late decision to do it, Friday afternoon, but well worth it  :)
The course was a tough mixture of steep loose fire road climbs, descents, open trails and some man made trails cutting through ferns, a bit for everyone.
It was a nicely organised race with a relaxed atmosphere, worth doing if you were in the area as I was last Sunday.

Tough and slippery course today. Lots of single track and very little fire road, pity about the rain, I think it stopped a few of the sections from being fast and flowing.

Good to hear you are nearly back on a bike, sorry I cannot help with a trainer.

Get back on the bike soon Joe, glad to hear it is not a break.
I did not consider it a MTB course today as once it went uphill, I ran with the bike and was quicker than anyone trying to uphold the honour or mountain biking.

I think I passed more people running than cycling today.

The drops were covered in mud so unless you knew the lines it was a lottery. After hearing of your spill, Joe I was into the 'get me home mode and take no risks' mode. It was not a race I enjoyed and I feel like I was was the first of the survivers in s3 and not the winner!

Well done to everyone that took part, it was tough.

It was very icy up there last night so hopefully everything will be okay by Sunday.

If you do a lot of miles on the road have a look at Specialized Captains 2Bliss 2.0s.
I use a S-Works version on front and the Control on rear.

Well done to all who raced, especially the podiumers, Davey and Adam.
And hard luck to those who suffered mechanicals, it was an unforgiving course.
Thanks for the support during the race.

Thanks for the lone of the jersey Paul, it was worth at least 30 seconds a lap!
