Well done to Mick and Dominic on 2nd and 3rd respectively, in the M50 category.

Thanks to Leo and David on doing pit duties for me today, a well trained crew.
Great boost getting a clean bike on demand :)

Great course, something for everyone and not too muddy, bike changes were optional.
Adam took the win in the Juniors and Squeek took the win from Niall in main race.

Offroad commission AGM 2018

Around 20 attended, mainly from DH and Enduro clubs.

See the minutes for the CX, XC, DH, Enduro and Women reports, they should be available soon.

Some points were;

Enduro and Downhil calendar for 2018 was sorted out before hand to avoid any clashes.

Chairman, Treasurer and XC co-ordinator positions were not filled.

3 motions for Enduro were passed for the 2020 season but they could be dropped or changed in 2019
e-bike category for Enduro, subject to insurance etc....
Full face helmets required for Enduro
Number plate and sign on required for parents of under 12/13 riders who want to accompany them.
Changes to technical regulations must be proposed in August for the Cycling Ireland AGM so these cannot be in place for 2019.
Nothing new for 2019.

Offroad budget not confirmed for next year.
Note that Cycling Ireland numbers are down from 30,000 to around 25,000 over the last few years.

The offroad commission would like to get better access to the high performance coaching in Cycling Ireland.
Proposing a coaching structure with commission and provisional coaching positions co-ordinating with local club coaches.
This is roughly based on how Ulster province is doing things.

CX nationals are in Munster, details still being confirmed.

Registration was down for a while, it should be back up now.

They will accept entries for the Ladies and A races on the day as they are expecting the B race to sell out.
