Well the front wheel of my bike was tubeless and the back wheel had a tube in it....so looks like there was no escaping that little technical glitch. Well actually there was....new tires!! I'll get better set up for this king of 3 rock race.

Great trails up in Carrick, made for great racing yesterday! I done ok on four stages, but got two punctures at the same time (dont ask me how I done that), about 50m into stage 2....ended up running the whole thing, so I finished I think 5th yesterday. Feckin disaster. Thanks James yet again for getting me to finish the race! Won the over all series though and I managed to beat Jess Stone on fastest time on a stage...so that took the sting out of not making podium yesterday!
Well done to all who raced, hopefully more IMBRC'ers will race this next year!
Well done to Orla too, she came 3rd in her category in the over all series!!! She wasnt there to collect her trophy.....I wonder does she know?!!

Foy center is up a little past the church on the opposite side of the road....i think! Well thats where it started from last year anyway! Parking is just along the road side. Just as you drive into Carlingford take the little one way street on your left hand side and follow this around to the left and then straight up the hill, you'll see the church on your right hand side.

Good luck to everyone that's heading up.......enjoy the spin  :)

Wll done to everyone who raced...sounds like it was a great day.

And Jim, don't know why you feel the need to explain yourself as to why you raced S1's, you shouldn't worry about that sort of stuff! Also, everyone else believes your good enough to step up to that category....a little bit more believe in yourself and you'll be flying!!! And hard luck with the mechanical....feckin hate that!!  :(

Well there wasnt a huge number of IMBRC'ers racing this today, so I'll give you my thoughts on it anyway. Have to say what a super deadly event this turned out to be!! Well done to Niall Davis and team (The 3 griffin lads seem to be doing great work), it was so well organised and the trails were brilliant to race on!! It was great that you could just cruise from stage to stage chatting, then take a short break before you race down the 5 different stages!! James and myself done the stages together which was a great help to me because I was trying to catch him the whole time, which I'm sure pushed me on to go faster!!
But anyway, great day out, can't wait for the next one!
And well done to the IMBRCer's that did race! James, Colm, Niall, Luke, Big Jack (who had a unfortunate mechanical on stage 5), think that was it.....

Well done to all who were on the spin today......and the fast group were fast!! And very good on all the technical stuff!! Next time I'm going to stick with the under 10's group! :)
Lucky we finished when we did though, I was driving through a blizzard on the way home!!
Well hope to see ya's all out again soon....and good luck to anyone racing in the biking blitz tomorrow.
And some really great action shots there James!!! ;D
