Ha ha I lost a bundle of time on the muddy stuff at the bottom.  The event of the year without a doubt so much fun.  Heading there on a night spin during the week.  Carrick is going to become a mecca for enduro ridders, well done to biking.ie for opening up all the trails.

  • Cracking event, just glad to finish it in one piece, can't say the same about Colt Seavers, took a bit of a battering today :D

    Some amazing trails in there.

Fair play to Scott flying through the course on a xc hardtail, hardy stuff >:(

  • Great event. Gave it a lash today.
Broke my left pedal on stage 2 just to add to the fun.
Had a front wheel blow out on the fasted section of stage 4 which ended up we me in a heap
Had to run it to the stage end. Cheers Craig for the body armour.
Stage 5 was mental and feeling a bit battered I took it handy just to finish in one peice.
The rain made stages 4 and 5 very tricky.
Good turn out from the club and we all had the crack

  • Great trails up in Carrick, made for great racing yesterday! I done ok on four stages, but got two punctures at the same time (dont ask me how I done that), about 50m into stage 2....ended up running the whole thing, so I finished I think 5th yesterday. Feckin disaster. Thanks James yet again for getting me to finish the race! Won the over all series though and I managed to beat Jess Stone on fastest time on a stage...so that took the sting out of not making podium yesterday!
Well done to all who raced, hopefully more IMBRC'ers will race this next year!
Well done to Orla too, she came 3rd in her category in the over all series!!! She wasnt there to collect her trophy.....I wonder does she know?!!

  • Well done folks...!!  :)

Great results for Rose and Orla..!! Rose you should by some tubeless wheels now with the prize money  :P

Orla was burst herself on the last stage and got her her leg tatooed by her chainring... So after finishing the stage she went to the medic and they decided she needed stitches, so she spent the rest of the day in A&E waiing to be stitched up...! Shes grand now.

Good to see Colt Seavers living up to his name too  ;)

  • Well the front wheel of my bike was tubeless and the back wheel had a tube in it....so looks like there was no escaping that little technical glitch. Well actually there was....new tires!! I'll get better set up for this king of 3 rock race.
